History
BOE was founded in 1997 as a 3-person office with a mandate to provide value-based investment research to institutional investors, as opposed to the traditional earnings-based approach that is still common today.
Throughout the late 1990s we developed a client base for fundamental and quantitative research among some of the best known asset managers and pension funds. In 2003, BOE entered the 3rd party research business, providing independent equity reports to investment banks covered in the Global Research Settlement. In 2004 BOE significantly expanded its research capability by opening its research unit in Mumbai, India.
Today our global investment boutique is poised to provide a range of customized investment research and brokerage services. Our firm is led by principals Bufus Outlaw and Sabu Joseph, who combine their passion with sound judgment and expertise developed from 40 years of collective experience. Together they provide the vision, values and leadership that puts our clients’ success at the forefront of everything we do.
